How to translate the bold and colorful identity of Chili CINEMA in their new HQ in Milan, Italy?
We opted for a very bright and contemporary working space, taking advantage of the natural light. The design of the interior follows the contemporary principle of Smart Working: areas for informal meetings and gatherings are present throughout the floors with small armchairs, sofas and coffee tables, in different green shades.
The identity of the brand is conveyed through the corporate colour, teal, applied as part of a warmer palette better suited for the interior design. To add more fun to the office meeting rooms and some corridors are decorated with floor-to-ceiling monochrome illustrations from movies and cartoons.
The final effect is a fresh, relaxing but strongly connotated working space that reflects the identity of Chili Cinema and the young age of the employees.
— COLOUR PALETTE
We designed first a colour palette around the corporate colour (deep teal) with the introduction of a warmer tone of green, a warm light grey and by focusing on white. A texture with the corporate symbol (a stylized chili pepper) wraps most of the office cabinets together with acoustic panels. All the chairs, armchairs, coffe tables and other furniture match the colour palette.
— MONOCHROME IMAGES
Because Chili promotes movies, we decided to use large monochrome pictures in corporate colour, from famous movies and cartoons. Each picture has an halftone filter to create interesting textures when looked from close-by. Plus, we managed to have a giant Chewbacca in one of the corridors!
— HOTCORN & CINETRAILER
CHILI owns two more companies, Hotcorn and Cinetrailer, that needed a small branded corner to identify them within the office. We designed a photowall for each, to be used also for official pictures and to document the activities of the two companies on social media.
The project is the result of a tight collaboration with fellow Tiemme partner arch. Tatiana Milone (space planning, layout and interior design).
